3twenty is a leading designer and builder of projects utilizing a prefab building process.
We are focused on delivering high quality commercial, institutional and educational projects. We are innovators. We are designers. We are engineers. We are builders.
3twenty was born out of a business plan competition at the University of Saskatchewan; co-founders Evan Willoughby and Bryan McCrea set out to re-purpose shipping containers into offices and camps for the industrial markets. After appearing on CBC Television’s Dragons’ Den, the entrepreneurs attracted the investment and partnership of Calgary-based investor W. Brett Wilson.
Our company experienced some early successes, such as building Canada’s first shipping-container based workforce camp for a gold mining company in northern Saskatchewan. After three years building container-based buildings, we realized that 3twenty was operating in a niche market, and that in order to grow, we would need to diversify both in product and industry.
In 2015, we pursued our first school portable classroom contract, which would mark a major turning point for 3twenty. Since then, our company has pivoted to solely focus on permanent and semi-permanent prefab buildings.
3twenty has evolved into a general contractor, delivering projects using a modular building process. We employ over 50 full time staff, build in Saskatoon and ship all over Canada.
We firmly believe that we can do construction better. We are committed to redefining the construction experience through a modular building process.
The success of our process is not just built on modular building blocks, it is built on core values that are a key part of our culture.
You’re making a big investment, and we take that very seriously. You’re also trusting us to bring your vision to life, and we work every day to make sure we can do that.
We believe that by working together, with you – not against you, we can learn, grow, and build better buildings and experiences. We also value the ideas and contributions from all levels within our company, as well as from external partners and professionals.
3twenty was born out of innovation, and it’s a part of everything we do. We ask a lot of questions, and we do things differently. This is all with the goal of building high quality, cost effective, schedule-driven projects.
The idea that we can all work together, be profitable, and be happy seems to have been lost in construction. We take a win-win approach with our suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, and customers.
It’s really important to us that we all have fun building projects together. We know when to be serious, but we also know that a good laugh and having fun can take stress out of projects.
If you haven’t figured it out yet, 3twenty is about relationships. By forming key relationships with our supply chain and subcontractors, we are able to collaborate on designs that result in high-quality, cost efficient builds for our customers.
Our communities have given us so much, and we love giving back in special ways.
We have always had a community of people rooting for 3twenty, and that energy has supported our growth and success. Not only do we have a responsibility to give back but our team is passionate about getting behind the communities in which we live and operate.
