OUR STORY
Paul-Émile Bonneville spent most of the 1950s working in the Asbestos mines in the small Quebec town of Thetford Mines. Then, in 1961, with the help and support of his six grown children, he launched his own company specializing in the sale and servicing of mobile homes. In no time, Paul-Émile and his team became Canada’s top sellers of Bendix homes. “My father wanted to make home ownership a possibility for everyone – not just the wealthy classes,” says André Bonneville, one of the founder’s sons.

In 1977, frustrated with the quality of the homes on the market and unacceptable long delivery time, Paul-Émile decided to go into the manufacturing business and opened his own modular construction plant. Unbeknownst to his children, who were already working seven days a week, he purchased a factory in Beloeil, on the south shore of Montreal. He told them, “We’re going to build our own houses from now on.”

Under André Bonneville’s leadership, sales offices were opened in all the key cities throughout the province. Bonneville Homes began to grow in leaps and bounds.

Manufacturing and design techniques have evolved significantly over the years. In 1995, the company took a turn and innovated by creating the Bonneville R-3000 building system. Thanks to these technological advances, Bonneville Homes is positioned as the undisputed leader of pre-engineered homes.

OUR MISSION
Bonneville Homes is committed to designing, building and delivering unique, trend-setting concepts using cutting-edge construction techniques.

HIGH QUALITY-CONTROL ON WORK EXECUTION AND BUILDING MATERIALS

Quality-control in construction process begins with a meticulous material selection. In fact, the design concept requires assembly and materials of superior quality, such as:

Open joist floor truss system instead of conventional floor joist.
Cellulose fibre installation instead of fibreglass wool.
All kiln-dried lumber for the entire structure.
High performance windows.
Interior partitions in kiln-dried lumber and/or light gage steel studs.
Every stage of the production on the assembly line is precisely adapted to the required execution detail.

The Bonneville team has spent years analyzing how houses age over time and react to Canada severe weather conditions. Bonneville determination to constantly come up with innovative new techniques means the quality standards are more stringent than construction industry requirements.
